Which bag size to buy

Nigerian, Indian, and Thai rice come in 10kg, 25kg, and 50kg bags. The right size is the one you will finish while it is still fresh.
10kg
A 10kg bag suits a small household that cooks rice a few times a week. It is easier to carry upstairs and it fits in a kitchen cupboard.
25kg
A 25kg bag suits a family that cooks rice most days. You open it less often than three small bags, and it still fits in a corner of a store.
50kg
A 50kg bag suits a large home, a canteen, or a shop that buys ahead. It is heavy, and it needs a pallet or another raised dry spot. Order it when that place is ready. How to store a 50kg bag in Lagos covers the setup.
You can mix sizes in one order. If you are buying for the first time, start with 10kg or 25kg of the grain you already cook. When that bag is finished and you liked it, the 50kg bag is the one to keep in the house.
